Decade Kings

Say “hello” to the new super-group of classic music. Because it is long past time for the really great music of the fifties, sixties, seventies, eighties, and nineties to return, Decade Kings have assembled the best players available in one band. The versatility of the group is endless as it can play all the Rock & Roll, Country/Western music (the real classic country, and real western campfire tunes), and even some popular jazz, and folk music.

If all the experiences of the players were combined, there would be more than a hundred years of stage appearances. (They may be older musicians, but there’s still plenty of energy in those voices!) One of the aspects of the group that sets it apart from most other bands is their ability to connect with their audience. Truly, the key to any successful act is its feel for the desires of the people who have come to see them perform. The two lead singers have been specially trained in establishing positive rapport with everyone; no one should feel left out of a fun evening of music and dancing.

Any band can play songs, but Decade Kings go a few steps further. There are some comedy spots that erupt spontaneously (okay, so some of the jokes are “corny”), there are singalongs that include the audience (whether they can sing or not), and the ability to be flexible in changing the set list to accommodate a special occasion. (We’re great at singing “Happy Birthday” – hey, where’s the cake?)

The emphasis for Decade Kings is in having fun (fun, fun, ’till her Daddy takes the T-bird away – oops, sorry about that, sometimes we get carried away in the fun of the moment). Entertainment is key whenever the Decade Kings are appearing on stage. We are likely to start singing at any time, including strolling between tables and singing requests from the patrons.
