Rock’n Doc Marshall – Guitar/Vocals
Doc has been on stage for over fifty years; he was educated in music by top professional performers in New York starting in the 1950’s. He has played all types of music from Celtic to folk to Rock & Roll to jazz to blues and fusion. Trained in jazz interpretation and show music, he has performed on stage with Freddie Cannon, Hank Snow, Bill Anderson, Jimmy George, Rocky Lee, Jim Hilbert, and many other popular celebrities. Former bands include Shiloh, the Renegades, the Roadrunners, Sweet & Low, and the Marshall Experience. He has recorded with many bands over the years, has appeared on TV, on the radio, and written many songs. He is currently the rhythm guitar player and male lead singer for Decade Kings.
Nancy Mac – Vocals/Lead/Backing
Easily the best female singer in Florida, Nancy has been singing since she was a toddler. Her family remembers that all they had to do was shine a flashlight on her and she would start singing the popular show tunes of the day. Starting in 1980, Nancy turned professional. Disco was the music of the day, along with vintage Rock and Roll, and she was on center stage in New York. Working with different groups, and in several different genres, Nancy Mac became one of the leading figures on the music scene. Since those busy years in New York she has relocated to Florida to pursue her successful singing career singing a wide range of music from Dixieland to Golden Oldies to Country/Western. Decade Kings is her latest musical home – come hear her sing!
Ella Gandt – Keyboard/Bass Guitar/Backing vocals
Classically trained in music from an early age, Ella has been active on several instruments. She is the most versatile of the group as she is facile on saxophone, flute, keyboards, oboe, and bass guitar. Her vocal talents are legendary. She sings both lead and backing vocals for the band and her tasteful renderings embellish every harmonic song selection. Her stage experience has included many different venues in her home state of Missouri and here in Florida. Though her earliest performances were in show productions, these days she prefers popular music and intimate clubs and restaurants. She mixes well with any group she performs with and Decade Kings are indeed fortunate to have this talented young lady handling the keyboards, as well as organizing musical compositions and computer graphics for the band.
